As a student, art taught me how to pay attention to what was happening around me. I learned how to focus, look at, and and talk about what I saw. By interpreting what I see today, I connect myself with my subject. I enjoy capturing a brief moment with a person or a feeling from a place I've been.
I mainly work with acrylic on paper but enjoy the challenges of most media. I received my BA from Boston University in 1997 and my masters degree in art therapy from the School of Visual Arts in 2006. I am a member of the American Art Therapy Association and currently work as an art therapist in Westchester County.
